FAQ

Should I supply a flat pattern or a formed 3D model?

Supply the 3D STEP file — our CAM software automatically unfolds it using the correct K-factor for your material and thickness.

What is the tightest inside bend radius you can achieve?

For 1 mm mild steel, minimum inside radius is 0.5 mm. Tighter radii cause cracking; we will flag this in the DFM report.

Can you bend aluminium without cracking?

Yes. We anneal where necessary and orient the bend perpendicular to the rolling direction to prevent cracking on hard alloys.
