Waterjet Capabilities

Abrasive Waterjet

Garnet abrasive at 4,000 bar pressure cuts metals, stone, glass, and composites up to 200 mm thick.

Pure Waterjet

No abrasive for soft materials — foam, rubber, food, and thin plastics. Clean edges, no contamination.

No HAZ

Cold-cutting process — zero heat-affected zone. Ideal for hardened steels, titanium, and materials sensitive to thermal distortion.

5-Axis Waterjet

Bevel cuts, taper compensation, and angled features without secondary machining on complex profiles.

Materials & Thickness Range

Mild / Tool SteelUp to 150 mm
Stainless SteelUp to 100 mm
AluminiumUp to 200 mm
TitaniumUp to 80 mm
Granite / MarbleUp to 120 mm
Carbon Fibre / CFRPUp to 50 mm

FAQ

How does waterjet compare to laser for thick plate?

Waterjet handles much greater thicknesses (up to 150+ mm) with no HAZ. Laser is faster for thin sheet under 20 mm.

Can waterjet cut hardened steel without annealing?

Yes — because it is a cold process, hardness has no effect on cutting ability. Hardened H13 and D2 cut as easily as mild steel.

What is the kerf width?

Typically 0.8–1.2 mm depending on abrasive and speed. We compensate for this in the toolpath.

Cut anything. No heat. No stress.
